Polyglutamic Acid

Polyglutamic Acid

Fact File:

POLYGLUTAMIC ACID

What is it for:

It is a humectant that promotes healthy skin repair. It helps to provide moisturisation to the skin and long-term hydration. It's polymer structure helps to create a hydrating film on the surface of the skin.

When to use:

AM and PM - daily

Active ingredient benefits:

Humectant

Helps to hydrate by drawing in moisture from the atmosphere into the upper layers of the skin. Polyglutamic Acid can actually hold more water molecules than Hyaluronic Acid.

Anti-ageing

By drawing moisture to the skin and locking it in, the appearance of signs of ageing can be reduced.

Natural Moisturiser Factors (NMFs)

Helps to increase the production of Natural Moisturising Factors (NMFs) in the skin for long-term moisturisation and a healthy skin barrier.

Ingredient origin:

Naturally derived from bio-ferments.

Works well with:

Hyaluronic Acid/ Peptides.

Time to see results:

Long-term anti-ageing benefits may be seen after 6-8 weeks of consistent use.

Impact on sun sensitivity:

Polyglutamic Acid has no impact on the skin's sensitivity to the sun. However, it is advised to still apply SPF daily.
